Continu progresses buy-and-build strategy with Techmatch

Roeselare, 24 January 2020 -  Placement organisation Continu, one of the companies operating under the House of HR umbrella, is to take over TechMatch. With this acquisition, the Continu Group is writing a new chapter in achieving its ambitious growth objectives through a buy-and-build strategy. TechMatch owners Wilco Crone and Jan van Vroenhoven will transfer their shares, but continue to work within the organisation.

TechMatch was set up in 2004 and serves small and large businesses in the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, installation engineering, automotive, high-tech, logistics and process engineering sectors. The company has three offices in the Netherlands: Breda, Eindhoven and Nijmegen. With a small pool of 200 external workers, the organisation turned over €10.6 million in 2019. TechMatch will continue to operate under the Continu Group flag with its own brand, TechMatch (powered by Continu Group). 

TechMatch’s locations will remain unchanged. However, major synergy advantages will be reaped because the company will use Continu services, as well as software, marketing tooling and the HR platform for the development of in-house staff.

Buy-and-build strategy

Continu has been an intermediary in construction and industry for 25 years. In 2019, it placed around 2600 candidates in employment, the majority of them on secondment. The company operates in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany and works with 260 enthusiastic colleagues spread over more than 20 offices. The head office is in Eindhoven. Continu Group is an operating company of House of HR.

Continu Group previously took over Hardt in December 2018 as part of its buy-and-build strategy. Continu announced its acquisition of MTénV in June 2018. Together, the businesses have 300 in-house staff and a joint turnover of 130 million euros.
